There are a number of good campsites in the area that we reccommend. Each has its own merits.

In Betws y Coed there is Hendre Campsite which is convenient for the amenities that the village has to offer.

Just South of Betws Y Coed on the A5 there is Rynys-Camping which is only 3km from the start of the Penmachno Bike Trailhead and within easy walking distance to the Conwy Falls Cafe great coffee and pizzas with wi-fi access.

Dolgam is a lovely campsite on the A5 around 4km North West of Betws Y Coed spectacular views of Moel Siabod and a riverside location makes this a good base for walking and biking.

Hafod farm lies in the Heart of the Conwy Valley in Northern Snowdonia.

Two other campsites are located around 15km along the A5 at Gwern Gof Uchaf and Gwern Gof Isa. These are mountain campsites which stand in the Ogwen Valley both are suitable for large groups and have bunkhouses. They are also on the cycle route which takes cyclists from Bangor to Capel Curig.

Another campsite in the Capel Curig area is at Garth which is on the B4086 toward Beddgelert, another mountain campsite with a bunkhouse and great location.

On the A470, 10km South of Betws y Coed is the village of Dolwyddelan. There are two campsites here.

Tan Aeldroch is half way between Betws y Coed and Dolwyddelan and has a lovely riverside location and allows fires.  Bryn Tirion, a working  farm which stands beneath the castle has camping  and a bunkhouse. This site has traditionally been used by scouting groups.
