  • Annwyl Berchennog Busnes
Gyda’r cynnydd mewn beicio a’r twf yn nifer y bobl sy’n defnyddio E-feiciau, mae Beics Betws wedi
gweld cyfle i fusnesau ddarparu gwasanaeth gwefru e-feiciau i gwsmeriaid sy’n defnyddio E-feiciau.
Busnes llogi beiciau, teithiau beiciau a rhoi gwasanaeth i feiciau yw Beics Betws sy’n gweithio o
Fetws y Coed. Rydym wedi noddi’r gwaith o ddatblygu sticer lleoliad gwefru E-feic i fusnesau sy’n
cymryd rhan yn y gogledd i’w arddangos ar eu safle a thrwy hynny ddenu cwsmeriaid, gan ddarparu
gwasanaeth ecogyfeillgar a chefnogi beicwyr lleol ac ymwelwyr. Bydd gwefan Beics Betws yn
rhoi manylion yr holl leoliadau sy’n cymryd rhan a’r bwriad yw i ymestyn y gwasanaeth hwn i greu
ap a fydd yn cynnwys lleoliad a manylion y rhai sy’n cymryd rhan ac yn gweithredu fel llwyfan hysbysebu
    iddyn nhw.
Bydd busnesau sy’n cymryd rhan yn cael sticer i’w harddangos a bydd gwybodaeth yn cael ei
chasglu a’i harddangos ar ein gwefan ynghylch y ffioedd am godi tâl (os o gwbl), lleoliad gorsafoedd
gwefru, amseroedd agor, disgrifiad byr o’r gwasanaethau eraill sydd ar gael (caffi, tafarn, manwerthu,
gwersylla ac ati) dolenni i wefannau. Mae busnesau sy’n cymryd rhan yn rhydd i godi tâl a gosod
rheolau fel y gwelant yn dda, ee rhaid i gwsmeriaid e-feiciau brynu diodydd / bwyd ac ati.
Mae gwefru e-feiciau yn broses gymharol rad. Byddai cost gyfartalog gwefriad llawn ar gyfer y batri
mwyaf yn cyfateb i hanner uned o drydan (tua 10c). Ni fyddai’r rhan fwyaf o gwsmeriaid angen gwefru’r
batri yn llawn, dim ond gwefru am rhyw hanner awr y byddai’r rhan fwyaf felly byddai’r gost yn
llawer llai. Dylai beiciau ddod â’u gwefrwr eu hunain y gellir wedyn eu rhoi i mewn i soced drydan
arferol, bydd yn rhaid i’r rhan fwyaf o feicwyr dynnu eu batris o’u beiciau i ddod â nhw i mewn i’w
gwefru. Os oes gan fusnesau soced allanol yn agos at le’r mae’r beiciau’n cael eu storio, yna gorau’n
y byd, efallai y bydd rhai’n dewis darparu cebl ymestyn mewn tywydd sych.
Os hoffech gymryd rhan yn y cynllun, atebwch yn ôl a byddwn yn casglu mwy o wybodaeth gennych
ac yn anfon sticer atoch i’w harddangos (gweler yr atodiad). Os oes digon o ddiddordeb, bydd
y sticeri hyn ar gael yn Gymraeg hefyd.
Gan obeithio y byddwch yn defnyddio’r cyfle hwn i gymryd rhan yn y cynllun arloesol hwn sy’n amgylcheddol
gynaliadwy ac sy’n canolbwyntio ar y cwsmer. Edrychwn ymlaen at glywed gennych.

  • Dear Business Owners
With the increase in cycling and the growth in the number of people using E bikes, Beics Betws have
identified the opportunity for businesses to provide an e bike charging service to customers who
    are E bike riders.
Beics Betws is a bike hire, tour and servicing business based in Betws y Coed. We have sponsored
the development of an E bike charging location sticker for participating businesses in north Wales to
display on their premises thereby attracting customers, providing a environmentally friendly service
and supporting local and visiting cyclists. The Beics Betws website will provide details of all participating
venues and plans are to extend this service into an app which will contain the location and
details of participants and act as an advertising platform for them.
Participating businesses will be issued with a sticker to display and information will be collected and
displayed on our website regarding the fees for charging (if any), the location of charging stations,
opening times, brief description of other services on offer (cafe, pub, retail, camping etc) links to
websites. Participating businesses are free to make charges and impose regulations as they see fit,
eg ebike customers must purchase drinks / food etc.
E bike charging is a relatively inexpensive process. The average cost of a full charge for the largest
battery would be the equivalent of half a unit of electricity (around 10p). Most customers would
only be topping up their battery for half an hour or so therefore the cost would be much less. Bikes
should bring their own charger which can then plugged into a normal electric socket, most riders
will have to remove their batteries from their bikes to bring them inside to carry out the charging. If
businesses have an outside socket close to where the bikes are stored then even better, some may
choose to provide an extension lead in dry weather.
If you would like to participate in the scheme please reply back and we will collect more information
from you and send you a sticker to display (see attached). Or use this PDF to send the information. If
there is sufficient interest, these stickers will be made available in Welsh also.
Hoping you will use this opportunity to get involved in this innovative, environmentally sustainable
and customer focussed scheme. We look forward to hearing from you.
    Kind Regards
    Louise Jowett and Graham Tayler
