This is a route for half day / 3hr Ebike rides. There are 2 big climbs which the Ebikes handle very well. Sometimes this ride may evolve into a day ride on Ebikes as riders may take an extended time at Llyn Geirionydd for picnics and a bit of Wild Swimming. Note a half day ride is up to 3hrs, more than 3 hrs is a full day rental.

The ride starts with a short ride through Betws y coed. When leaving the village, a quiet single-track road is taken after crossing the bridge over the river. After 400m a sharp Right-hand Turn is taken up a long very steep hill.

 Important: – You must have the bike already pre-selected into a Low Gear and High motor power before taking the Sharp Right-Hand Turn up the hill. If the bike is not prepared in this way, then the rider may come to a complete stop and it will be hard to restart.

Follow the Off-road route through the forest to Llyn Parc and then to Sawbench carpark. From here to Llyn Geirionydd it is a quiet beautiful single-track road, steep in places but easily rideable on an Ebike.

Llyn Geirionydd is a lake for wild swimming and other water sports and a good spot for picnics, very popular in Summer. Also, there are public Toilets in the carpark.

After here follow the route through the Forest and eventually join a quiet downhill road back to Betws y coed.

Bikes come equipped with Spare Inner tube /repair kit and map. Please return after use.

A Garmin Satnav is available for hire to make navigation easy or a GPX file can be emailed if you want to use your own bike computer or phone.
